A look at the city of Madrid, Spain, and some brief history and essential tourist spots.
As Spain’s capital, Madrid boasts a nightlife other large cities can only dream about - but there are plenty of attractions to keep a travller occupied during the day too. The Golden Museum Triangle, made up of the Reina Sofia National Museum and Art Centre, Museo del Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum of Art, should not be missed, as well as the Palacio Real (Royal Palace) and El Retiro.
